Friskies Wet Classic Pate Supreme Supper Cat Food Review

Our five-year-old cat Cash is a finicky eater like many cats. We are always on the hunt for a canned cat food and kibble that is nutritious and that he will enjoy. If you are a cat mom or dad, you know finding a food to appease your kitty is no easy task.

The Purina Friskies Classic Paté Supreme Supper is advertised to include flavors of fish, poultry, and liver, as well as a pleasing texture. Texture is important to Cash. As you will see in future wet cat food reviews, if Cash doesn't like the texture, he will refuse to eat it or shake his head while the food is in his mouth, possibly creating a mess.

I picked up this flavor of Purina wet cat food during a recent supermarket trip. Cash was eager for breakfast. It seemed the perfect time to break open the can, serve and let him review it.

Below is information about the product.

As a concerned cat mom, I have to wonder why added color is necessary. I don't think Cash cares what the food looks like. I mean, he's eating a lump of mush from a can...not a freshly killed rabbit. Does added color really matter?

The artificial flavor is another ingredient that may be unnecessary. I'd be interested to know which flavor has been artificially added.

In conclusion, the Friskies Wet Classic Pate Supreme Supper receives a 5-star review from Cash.

  1. There are some commercially produced cat foods that you could give your pet if it is suffering from any form of food allergy. These are usually sold through veterinarians and are known as hypoallergenic pet food. They will not cause your pet any further distress as they exclude all of the most common allergens. The difficult thing with these foods is getting your pet to eat it as they are usually bland and tasteless, not flavoured with extra fat the way regular pet foods are.
